Contact a distro? Leave a bunch in random places? drop a bunch from an airplane? Stick them in copies of popular newspaper and magazines?

      Hey Charlene

Cheers, don't surpose you know any contact details of distributors, as my plane skills are lacking (bit like Mr T in that respect). Got some out in shops and the like, just looking for ways to increase circualtion and massarge an ego i guess :)

Can't seem to find a fun way of doing it here in London,
got a site linky thing if you want to check its

The best way to get your zine out there...

-Send copies of the finished issue along with ordering info to the various zines that review zines (Zine World, Broken Pencil, Xerograpy Debt and then places like Punk Planet and MRR). Even a bad review can generate a few orders, a good review can generate 20-50 orders and spark trades and distro interest.

-Send out trade copies to other smaller zines that you know do zine reviews. Swap copies, review each other's zines.

-Work with local stores. Record stores, book stores that carry zines or small press publications, comic book stores... if you know people that work there, even galleries and coffee stores will sometimes sell them on consignment if you make a cool display for it.

-For small zine distros, it's pretty hit and miss about getting paid. But search around the web or ask on alt.zines who is good right now. I'm out of the loop on that aspect of it.
