i used to volunteer at the IPRC (independent publishing resource center) in portland, oregon. they have an amazing 5500+ zine/comic library that i raided weekly during my shift, taking home huge stacks at a time. HOWEVER, i just recently produced my own zine that i am really excited about and would like to start trading with people.

what's the trading protocol? send other authors an email and ask if they are interested? just mail 'em a zine with a note saying, "wanna trade"? or simply mail them your zine, no trade innuendo necessary? you are all probably old timers, so what do you like?

OH and my zine is called "my friends and their tall bikes". it's primarily drawings. speaking of which, anyone interested in trading?

if so! my interests aside from bicycles:
1. general DIY culture
2. free fun!
3. creating community places and encouraging local participation
4. building shelters on your own (i lived in a yurt i built most of last year!)
5. juggling/circus (the yurt was on a 'juggling farm'!)
6. beautiful/simple sketches and daily comics (ex. clutch!)

yeah! thanks for existing!

love,
kelly peach
